Changing seasons

I always get really reflective when the seasons change. I guess it's always a time when the fact that time is always passing us by and life is happening is shoved abruptly in my face. I've been exceptionally contemplative as it seems that all seasons have come and gone full circle while I've been here in Korea. With that said, Korea has been an incredible experience. Full of a lot of joy, and with that has come so many different challenges. 

The Cherry Blossoms in Spring were pretty amazing, but fall in Korea is nothing short of stunning. This weekend I had the opportunity to spend some time with these ladies:

I desire...

To be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Mr. Oswald Chambers daily convicts and stirs my heart in his rich and meaningful devotional called "My Utmost For His Highest".

Here's something from today that I particularly found great:

"Discipleshiop is built entirely on the supernatural grace of God.... We do not need the grace of God to stand crises, human nature and pride are sufficient, we can face the strain magnificently; but it does require the supernatural grace of God to live twenty four hours in every day as a saint, to go through drudgery as a disciple, to live an ordinary, unobserved, ignored existence as a disciple of Jesus... We have to be exceptional in the ordinary things, to be holy in mean streets, among mean people, and this is not learned in five minutes."

Have you seen the news lately?

I don't know if I've just been doing a little bit too much "catching up" on world events lately or what not... but our world right now is in a lot of hurt. It leaves me feeling some feelings of sorts I really can't describe and I don't think I've even experienced them before.
